Job Summary:

The CVOR Tech is responsible for assisting in cardiovascular operating room procedures, ensuring sterile technique, and supporting surgical teams during cardiac and vascular surgeries. This role requires clinical expertise and the ability to adapt across multiple hospital campuses.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare and ensure all necessary surgical equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, managing equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  
  
• 
  Support patients pre-operatively and post-operatively as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Float between campuses, providing coverage and support across different units as directed.
  
  
• 
  Follow all scheduling requests, call-offs, and RTO policies, including compliance with on-call hours.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately and maintain detailed charting during procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current CPR/BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess valid NBSTSA or NCCT certification as a Surgical Tech.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac and vascular scrub roles.
  
  
• 
  Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center with trauma patient exposure.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures, including TAVR, CABG, and vascular repairs.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and on-call hours.
