About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Permanent license in-hand required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Surgical experience including urology, trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, and other surgical diagnoses - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 5-6 - Charting system experience with Epic Description: The position requires a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical neuro care. Candidates must possess a permanent nursing license. Certifications in BLS are required, and ACLS is preferred. Candidates must have surgical experience in areas such as urology, trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, and other surgical diagnoses. Experience in charge nursing is required. The patient-to-nurse ratio is expected to be 5-6 patients per nurse. Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary. The scope of care includes management and care for patients with conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents and spinal cord injuries. Skills in airway management, telemetry, and patient care for pre/post neurosurgery are essential. The role includes interdisciplinary support with various healthcare services. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays as required. All qualifications and experience levels must meet the stated requirements for the position.
