Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 17 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 17 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Tele RN requiring an active PA or Compact license, BLS and ACLS certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.Details\n \n Hospital-based Med/Surg-Tele unit setting\n Patient population includes med/surg, neurological/psychiatric, orthopedic, plastics, and endocrine/metabolic cases\n Typical patient ratio of 1:7\n Cerner EMR experience preferred\n Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) or day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) available\n Straight nights can be accommodated\n Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (PA or Compact) required\n Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA certifications only)\n Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required\n Community hospital experience preferred\n Cerner charting system experience preferred\n Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management\n Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration\n Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team protocols\n Experience with wound care/wound vac management\n Experience with medication administration including heparin, insulin, and PCA\n Two supervisor references preferred\n SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care across a diverse patient population\n Support includes rapid response and code teams for emergency situations\n Must be available to work every other holiday\n Local candidates accepted at the travel rate\n Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed\n Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers\n Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing\n All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start\n Pre-start orientation modules (approximately 1 hour) must be completed before entering the facility\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-747415.
