Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

Nights - Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts per contract.

Assignment Details

Patient-to-nurse ratios: 4:1. Orientation: 24 hours.

Requirements

• Valid RN license (KS or Compact).
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required.
• Experience using Epic electronic medical record system.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Clinical skills in airway management, ventilator care, central/arterial line care, chest tube management, IV management, and dealing with dysrhythmia and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients with a variety of conditions.
• Conduct patient assessments and triage.
• Administer medications and blood products as needed.
• Manage ventilator settings and provide airway management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.

Compliance / Notes

Travelers are expected to float to like units as needed. RTO must be provided at the time of submission.
