Staff Accountant

What We Offer Competitive salary Generous PTO beginning with 15 days in the first year and increasing with years of service Excellent benefits package Company-paid health insurance contribution (currently 85% of employee premium) 401(k) plan with company match Annual bonus opportunity Flexible start time with a 2-hour flex schedule Attractive work schedule of four 9-hour days and a 4-hour Friday Stable company with a collaborative, team-oriented culture Diverse responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth Key Responsibilities The Staff Accountant is responsible for all accounting functions and financial recordkeeping activities, including: Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions General ledger maintenance and reconciliations Bank account reconciliations Payroll preparation and coordination with ADP Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports Financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making Budget monitoring and variance analysis Fixed asset accounting and invoice recording Sales tax reporting and regulatory filings Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements Assisting with insurance administration, loans, licenses, leases, contracts, and related documentation Conducting internal audits and identifying financial discrepancies or trends Maintaining financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Supporting customer financial inquiries and maintaining positive business relationships Other accounting and finance duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience preferred ERP experience required; GlobalShop ERP experience is a plus Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving abilities Ability to identify financial issues and develop effective solutions High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct Goal‑oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Detail‑oriented and highly accurate Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with inventory management and cost accounting highly desirable If you are looking for a stable company where your contributions make a meaningful impact and where you can take ownership of the accounting function, we encourage you to apply.
