We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Columbia Site Maintenance Team based in Gaston, SC. The ideal candidate for the Facility Maintenance Technician role possesses a safety mindset and applies a high degree of self-driven ownership and accountability over their duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities The Facility Maintenance Technician will be report to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and their primary responsibilities will be: 

• Performing building maintenance and repairs including roofing, plumbing, painting, light carpentry, and other structural or system-related tasks
• Maintaining the overall physical appearance and upkeep of the site
• Collaborating with multi-craft teams, assisting scaffolding and insulation teams as needed
• Executing civil and contract work as directed by engineering
• Operating shop machines, such as drill presses and saws
• Utilizing SAP to manage work orders, parts, and materials
• Supporting planning and scheduling activities during routine operations and shutdowns
• Serving on the plant ERT (Emergency Response Team)
• All other duties assigned

Required Skills Required

• High School Diploma / GED
• Valid driver’s license
• 3+ years’ experience as a facilities specialist in an industrial manufacturing facility, Civil/Concrete experience is a plus
• Knowledge of building maintenance and operations functions
• Ability to set up, adjust, and safely operate drill press, wood saws, and various pneumatic and electric tools
• Capable of understanding and following blueprints, sketches, specifications, written, and verbal instructions
• Possess good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong basic math skills, ability to convert decimals to fractions, and use all units of measure
• Ability to read a tape measure and square to 1/32"
• Ability to follow instructions and execute job duties in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.

• Demonstrates reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality
• Works effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities
• Communicates clearly with team members to support coordination and shift continuity
• Shows accountability and ownership for assigned work and outcomes
• Must be able to work overtime, to include nights and weekends, when needed to meet deadlines

Preferred

• Associates degree in related specialty
• SAP experience or experience with a similar system

Compensation Range: $24.80-$31.88
