R&D Assembly Technician

R&D Assembly Technician (Contract) - $30/hr | Acton, MA

We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity in Acton, MA . This hands-on role supports the development and assembly of innovative medical devices in a cleanroom and laboratory environment. Ideal candidates have experience with small-part assembly, manufacturing processes, and regulated production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi-automated assembly of small, intricate medical device components
• Operate and maintain basic manufacturing and inspection equipment
• Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and process documentation
• Record process data, observations, and build results accurately
• Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and adjustment of assembly fixtures and tools
• Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes and support product development
• Maintain compliance with GMP, ISO, and cleanroom procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, assembly technician, or R&D production experience
• Comfortable working with small parts under microscopes or magnification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Medical device or cleanroom experience preferred

Schedule

• On-site in Acton, MA
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
