Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Portion and package ingredients for use during service.
- Assist in the preparation of sauces, marinades, and other basic components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Store food items properly to avoid spoilage and cross-contamination.
- Assist with receiving and stocking inventory.
- Support the culinary team with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
