Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

Summary:We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Grind and Mold Forklift Operator to join our mattress manufacturing team in Middleton, WI. This position is responsible for operating forklifts and material handling equipment to transport foam materials throughout the facility while supporting the foam grinding and molding processes. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 am - 2:30 pm Pay: $18.50/hour


Responsibilities:Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Transport foam materials, molded components, and finished products between production areas and storage locations.

Supply grinding and molding machines with raw materials as needed to maintain production flow.

Remove scrap foam and production waste from designated areas.

Load and unload materials from trucks and storage racks.

Inspect materials for quality concerns and report any defects or discrepancies.

Perform routine forklift inspections and complete daily equipment checklists.

Maintain accurate inventory movements and production records.

Assist with grinding and molding operations as assigned.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Follow all company policies, quality procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.

Support team members and other departments as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
