Growing together.UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Manager of Data Analytics to lead a team of data analysts supporting the Consumer Operations Vital and Experience Hub (COVE). COVE monitors consumer experience, provider experience, and core operational experiences, enabling early detection of issues and data driven decision making across lines of business. This role reports to the Associate Director of Data Analytics and is responsible for day to day people leadership, delivery management, and analytic execution The Manager of Data Analytics supports the Associate Director in ensuring that analytic strategy and technology advancement is executed consistently and effectively through high-quality reporting, insights, and analytics.This role balances hands-on analytical leadership with coaching, prioritization, and stakeholder management. In addition, this role helps bring maturity to COVE analytics capabilities, ensuring the data team delivers tools and resources to detect and research critical issues and to deliver high-impact insights across the organization.This position is hybrid, with a minimum of 4 days per week in office at the 9700 Building in Minnetonka, MN.Primary Responsibilities:People Leadership & Team ManagementDirectly manage, coach, and mentor a team of data analysts, supporting performance, engagement, and professional developmentConduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development planning aligned to individual career paths and business needsSet clear expectations for analytic quality, responsiveness, and professional standardsFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and continuous learning team cultureAnalytics Delivery & ExecutionManage day to day execution of analytics and reporting work, ensuring timely delivery and alignment to business prioritiesOversee intake, prioritization, and refinement of analytics requests in partnership with the Associate DirectorReview and quality check dashboards, analyses, and presentations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarityEnsure standardized metric definitions, documentation, and repeatable analytic processesAnalytic Guidance & Hands-On SupportProvide technical and analytical guidance to analysts on SQL, BI tools, data modeling, and analytic approachesServe as a hands on contributor for complex analyses, urgent operational needs, or high visibility deliverables as requiredSupport applied use of advanced analytics (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting, text analytics) in partnership with the Associate DirectorContinuous Improvement & EnablementIdentify opportunities to improve analytic workflows, reporting efficiency, and team productivityPartner with the Associate Director to implement new standards, tools, or processesPromote knowledge sharing and best practices across the analytics team and broader organizationCross-Functional PartnershipWork in close collaboration with consumer and provider/core teams to ensure analytics align to real operational questions and contextYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field3+ years of hands on experience delivering analytics, reporting, and insights for operational or leadership audiences2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing analysts or analytics teamsAdvanced proficiency in SQL and working with large, complex datasetsAdvanced experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalentDemonstrated ability to review and translate analytic outputs into clear, business ready insightsExperience working with Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data LakesSolid organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Visio)Must live in the state of Minnesota and have the ability to work in the Minnetonka office an average of four (4) days per weekPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Python or other analytical programming languagesExperience with machine learning or AI techniques applied to operational or experience analyticsExperience supporting contact center, omni channel, consumer experience, or provider experience domainsProven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, operational environmentExperience with cloud based analytics platforms such as Snowflake or DatabricksHealthcare or health insurance industry experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
