Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting, with a focus on patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Scheduling Details

Shift Hours: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, plus call responsibilities.

Weekend Requirement: Based on on-call scheduling.

On-Call Requirement: Nurses are expected to take a total of 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts within each 6-week period.

Holiday Requirement: Availability to work or be on-call for one holiday every 13-week contract rotation.

Charting

Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.

Required Qualifications

Active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Extensive experience in cardiac cath lab procedures, including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacing, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip.

Scrub experience and proficiency in sterile techniques, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols.

Experience in diagnostic and interventional cath lab settings utilizing fluoroscopy.

Understanding of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management.

Unit Details

Serves adult patients with a typical daily census of 15-20.

Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and closures of atrial septal defects/patent foramen ovale.

Advanced procedures performed include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, and renal denervation.

Equipped with IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS technology.

Additional Information

This role is not open to first-time travelers or local applicants, and pending licenses are accepted. For those with licenses in process, emergency authorization may be granted.
