Experience: Prior LTC experience preferred but not required

What You'll Do

• Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices for patients with physical functioning disorders.
• Provide skilled, rehabilitative treatments such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and support devices.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate adjustments to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and document outcomes.
• Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of patient treatments and progress.
• Participate in patient care conferences, team meetings, and required training sessions.
• Support supervision of students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards per APTA and state practice acts.

What You Need

Required:

• Active State Licensure as a PTA in Missouri
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a rehabilitation or LTC setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Knowledge of electronic documentation systems
