Head of Cybersecurity

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Head of Cybersecurity to provide senior leadership and direction for security across Menzies Mission and the My Source Network platform. This role sets the overall security vision, guides the security team, and helps ensure our systems, data, and users are protected as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the organization's security strategy and roadmap
• Guide and coordinate the security team across IAM, cloud, application, and risk management
• Oversee the organization's security posture and incident response readiness to ensure business continuity
• Help establish security policies, standards, and governance aligned with recognized frameworks
• Support compliance with data-protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
• Advise leadership on security risks, priorities, and investments
• Champion a security-first culture through awareness and training initiatives

Skills and Qualifications:

• Senior experience in cybersecurity or information security, including team leadership
• Strong understanding of security strategy, governance, and risk management
• Familiarity with recognized security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls)
• Cybersecurity based certification; CompTIA Security+, CEH, ISC2, GSEC, or higher
• Knowledge of cloud security and development life cycle
• Knowledge of data-protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, PCI-DSS)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, comfortable advising senior stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and lead a distributed volunteer team

Preferred Experience:

• 7+ years in information technology in a leadership role, or 4+ years experience in information security
• Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CCISO
• Experience building or scaling a security program
