Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or complex needs. Working knowledge of de‑escalation techniques and intervention strategies. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable as a substitution. Licensure Requirements First Aid and CPR Certified Minnesota Protective Agent License (preferred) Minnesota Emergency Manager Certified (preferred) Essential Functions Lead training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development of Student Safety Coaches. Manage and oversee Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Everyday Behavior Tools, and related training. Collaborate with special education department on CPI and training initiatives. Lead critical incident and restrictive procedure data collection and assist staff in data analysis. Promote equitable student safety, behavior‑response practices, and learning outcomes. Support evidence‑based social‑emotional learning practices through community building and restorative practices. Plan, organize, and implement staff development on safety and security best practices. Align site‑based health and safety practices with the strategic plan, manage fire and lockdown drills, and recommend improvements. Assist in developing and maintaining Board policies and procedures for school safety and security. Participate in Restrictive Procedure Oversight Committee work. Provide instruction to administrators on reviewing and strengthening site entry protocols. Counsel and assist instructional, support, and ancillary personnel in problem‑solving student behavior issues. Provide support to staff at 360 meetings as needed. Conduct safety planning and implementation of safety and crisis plans with the District Incident Command Team. Perform other duties as assigned.
