We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.Job Title: Specialist Engineer 1Location(s): Orlando, FL Job Summary As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for creating technical specifications and defining requirements according to design standards, fulfilling tasks and targets, resolving issues that may arise during the manufacturing process or in the field, and providing technical support and troubleshooting.ResponsibilitiesPrepare technical specifications and verify supplier bids with clarifications.Support technical supplier negotiations, including risk assessment and commercial selection, for:Air Intake SystemsAir-Cooled Heat ExchangersNoise EnclosuresFire Protection SystemsReview internal and external designs and documentation.Support the Procurement department regarding technical issues.Coordinate with Lead Engineers, customers, Procurement, suppliers, other Engineering departments, and Project Management.Ensure alignment of supplier solutions with requirements specifications, customer needs, and interface partners.Attend manufacturing shop inspections.Provide field/site support during installation, commissioning, and warranty activities.Provide proposal support for the Bid Management team.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.5–10 years of related technical experience.Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine, including:Air intakeAcoustic enclosureVentilationFire protectionStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle cross-functional and cross-product-line initiatives, both domestically and internationally.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger global engineering team.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with a wide range of internal and external organizations.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.Ampcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
