Legal Administrative Assistant

Overview Responsible for providing broad-based administrative, organizational, and project management support to the Legal function of the Bank. Serves as an initial and primary point of contact for the Legal function for communications and inquiries from other Sutton business units. Qualifications Education: Associates degree. Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant administrative experience, preferably gained at a bank, other financial services organization, or law firm. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Functions A: Job Specific: Provides administrative support to the Chief Legal Officer and the entire legal team, to include but not be limited to, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, booking travel and tracking the completion of projects. Continuously monitors Compliance program goals and upcoming milestones. Facilitates the review and approval of law firm and other third-party invoices, monitors and organizes incoming legal correspondence. Logs and tracks the status of mediations, arbitrations and lawsuits. Monitors and manages various third-party subscription services utilized by the Legal team. Ensures that board policies, and various legal and compliance reports are prepared and delivered timely through effective tracking and by facilitating the collection and distribution of supporting information. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of the business area that is being supported. Self-directed and motivated. The ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to schedule, plan, coordinate, communicate, and execute effectively while balancing the respective administrative, organizational, and project management/support needs of multiple department staff.
