Role Summary The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leadership and supervision of store personnel, inventory tracking and management, achieving key performance metrics and ensuring the efficient daily operations of the store. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer experience. Key Duties And Responsibilities Partner with the General Manager to plan and implement strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state‑specific regulations Review, communicate and ensure compliance with all company SOPs and work with the general manager and other leaders to assure any changes are communicated to employees Along with the General Manager, provide coaching, training, and development to the team focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives Monitor and maintain store inventory Handle and resolve patient issues and escalations when on duty Maintain professional working relationships with business partners Assist the General Manager in managing labor budget to meet the needs of the business Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance Perform other tasks assigned by management Skills And Qualifications Two years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service, is a plus Prior cash handling experience is required Ability to train, develop, and evaluate a team of 40+ employees Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion Ability to communicate in conversational English, operate electronic equipment (computer, scanner, printer, etc.), comprehend safety procedures, and utilize telecommunication devices Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures Ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely Additional Minimum Qualifications Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass an MVR background check (delivery locations only) Must be able to pass a level1 and level2 background check Must be at least 21 years of age Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies Must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress or displaying a hostile attitude Physical Requirements Constantly required to move/traverse throughout entire facility, including tight spaces Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices Frequently required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull up to 50 lbs; lift/carry/position up to 50 lbs; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl) Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position Occasionally required to remain seated Work Schedule 40‑45 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
