Medical Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Clerk to support the administrative operations of a U.S.-based medical office. This role is ideal for someone with experience in healthcare administration who is comfortable handling patient records, scheduling, and general office coordination in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Maintain and update patient records in the EMR/EHR system . Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. Upload, organize, and manage medical documentation. Assist with processing forms, referrals, and other administrative paperwork. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally. Coordinate with providers and internal staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations . Requirements 1+ year of experience working in a medical office or healthcare administrative role. Experience with EMR/EHR systems (such as Athena, eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar). Basic understanding of U.S. medical insurance is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Reliable internet connection and a quiet remote workspace. Preferred Qualifications Experience scheduling patients in a U.S. medical practice . Familiarity with insurance verification, referrals, or authorizations . Experience supporting physicians or healthcare teams remotely.
