The Villa St. Elizabeth Personal Care Home is a family-owned and operated facility that has provided compassionate care for the elderly for 26 years. Conveniently located just two blocks from Reading Hospital, we pride ourselves on exceptional resident care, a supportive work environment, and a dedicated team. Position Overview
- Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:15 PM)
- Schedule: Full-Time with alternating weekends
- Location: Reading, PA (2 blocks from Reading Hospital)
- Compensation & Growth: Great pay, supportive staff, and paid Med-Tech Certification training provided by The Villa. Pay raises available within the first 6 months.
- Insurance Assistance: Stipend provided to assist with insurance coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including showering, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, transfers, and meal assistance.
- Independence & Engagement: Encourage resident independence wherever appropriate, while providing companionship and transportation coordination.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and meal assistance to maintain a comfortable living space.
- Safety & Monitoring: Assist residents and conduct safety bed checks throughout the shift/night.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Previous experience in a senior healthcare setting (Personal Care Home, Assisted Living, or Hospital) is preferred.
- Compassionate, dependable, and dedicated to elderly care.
