Phlebotomist

Job Summary Prud Health is recruiting a phlebotomist to support a client’s medical facility located in New Bern, NC 28562. This is a contract position with a chance for extension and a great opportunity to work with a top‑tier healthcare organization. Job Duration: 04+ months (possible extension). Hours/Wk: 32. Shift: Mon‑Fri 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Pay Range: $19.93 – $21.35 per hour (W2). Pay based on education and experience. Job Responsibilities Perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Verify patient demographic information and signatures post‑venipuncture to ensure tubes are labeled correctly. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Job Requirements Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on‑site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Committed to all policies and procedures: dress code, employee health and safety, everyday excellence guiding principles. Self‑standing decisions based on established procedures and good judgment. Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable. Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In‑Office phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting. Superior customer focus; ability to communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; knowledge of the business. Training locations may vary based on trainer availability. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience 1‑3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
