Work Environment
This remote position allows for significant flexibility, combining the accessibility of online therapeutic services with dedicated outpatient support for those in need. Our team collaborates closely via virtual platforms to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care while maintaining a focus on innovation in treatment methodologies. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required to address patient needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identify the most effective treatment plans.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
- Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their trauma and develop coping strategies to promote healing and personal growth.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
- Respond to crises and provide immediate support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, offering guidance on effective coping mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, upholding the principles of trust and confidentiality.
- Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives that focus on trauma-informed care practices.
- Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role centers on working with individuals who have experienced severe trauma, requiring a compassionate and empathetic approach to care. By utilizing trauma-focused therapeutic strategies, you will help patients navigate their recovery journey and build resilience against future challenges. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving mental health outcomes for a vulnerable population.
Qualifications
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of Maryland.
- Proven experience and strong knowledge in addressing trauma-related disorders and applying trauma-informed treatment approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting while managing the responsibilities of individual patient care.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in roles focused on trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.
- A calm and composed approach in high-stress scenarios enhances team effectiveness and patient support.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
