Description

• Assess patients across diverse age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric using various evaluation methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver tailored one-on-one speech therapy interventions focusing on areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to ensure continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care continuity.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols by maintaining meticulous documentation.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and teamwork.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Must hold a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within the first 30 days of employment.
