Buyer

Our client, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment manufacturer , is looking to hire a Buyer . Pay Rate Range: $60,000-$70,000 annually + bonus, depending on experience Responsibilities: Establish and maintain a vendor base for required materials. Procure, track, and expedite materials to meet customer expectations. Manage supplier relationships and support supplier audits and vendor assessments. Promote competitive bidding to support cost savings. Identify opportunities to reduce the cost of purchased goods. Generate reports to monitor purchase orders, safety stock, inventory values, and other purchasing metrics. Maintain accurate MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data. Collaborate with internal departments to support procurement and material requirements. Perform additional purchasing and procurement duties as needed. Requirements: Associate degree in a technical field or Supply Chain Management with at least 5 years of purchasing experience, OR a high school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience. Experience working with an ERP system. Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. SAP experience preferred. Willingness to travel occasionally, primarily locally. Willingness to work overtime when needed.
