Job Description

Position Summary

Performing both technical and personnel aspects of group operations; performing work within the department or other areas as required; acting as a technical resource, trainer, and troubleshooter to specific department; making recommendations for operational and/or technical improvements; communicating effectively within the group; coaching and developing direct reports; planning and monitoring workflow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Ensure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization; identify, prevent, or correct any departures from the quality system
• Perform work for both routine and non-routine work as specified by separate and applicable technical job description for individual
• Develop and implement operational improvements
• Supervise others in performing client’s service requirements
• Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
• Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
• Conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
• Confront and address problems, concerns, and performance issues
• Coach and develop individual and team to maximize performance
• Foster motivation and morale
• Monitor and approve employees’ time worked through time-entry system
• Support and promote company policies and procedures
• Expand self-awareness and develop leadership skills as defined; attend applicable leadership training based on identified needs
• Perform and/or assign other duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of department
• Communicates effectively with client staff members
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Skills and Certifications

• 4-year degree or experience equivalent and 2+ years project management/ Leadership experience required

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills and Certifications

• General Office/Clerical skills, lab and leadership experience preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

• Must be cleared to work at client site
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Valid driver’s license and personal transportation

Positions are full-time, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Sanford, NC are encouraged to apply.
