Big Minds, Tiny Hands is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide home-based Early Intervention services to children ages birth to three with developmental delays.

This is a flexible, fee-for-service opportunity that allows you to work directly with young children and their families in their natural environment. You will provide individualized, family-centered speech and language therapy aligned with each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) .

What You'll Do

Direct Service Delivery

• Provide speech and language therapy in children's homes or community settings.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on IFSP goals.
• Use evidence-based, play-based, and routine-based intervention strategies.
• Incorporate parent coaching and caregiver participation into therapy sessions.
• Support children in developing functional communication skills within their everyday routines.

Assessment & Documentation

• Complete initial evaluations and re-evaluations as assigned.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant session documentation.
• Complete progress reports within required timelines.
• Monitor child progress and modify interventions as appropriate.
• Complete required Early Intervention documentation and billing-related records.

Family Collaboration

• Educate and coach parents and caregivers on strategies that support communication development.
• Maintain consistent communication with families regarding progress, goals, and recommendations.
• Help caregivers incorporate therapeutic strategies into everyday activities and routines.
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with children and their families.

Team Coordination & Compliance

• Collaborate with service coordinators and multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in team communication and care coordination as needed.
• Follow all applicable New York State Early Intervention Program regulations and requirements.
• Maintain compliance with documentation, billing, and session requirements.
• Complete required forms, including FADs, delay forms, and other EI documentation when applicable.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license .
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification or eligibility .
• Experience working with young children and/or a pediatric population.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with families and other professionals.

Preferred

• Previous Early Intervention experience.
• Experience providing home-based or community-based services.
• Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, are a plus.
• Familiarity with Early Intervention documentation and systems such as ProviderSoft .
