Associate Research Scientist - Immunochemistry

Associate Research Scientist position conducting complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products in Richmond, Virginia. Responsibilities include designing experiments, preparing technical documentation, analyzing data for regulatory compliance, and mentoring laboratory staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments with minimal supervision following established protocols and methods
• Prepare study protocols, status reports, and final study reports with technical documentation
• Review, interpret, and analyze data for compliance with protocols, SOPs, GMP, and GLP standards
• Mentor and train laboratory team members while coordinating laboratory activities and troubleshooting issues
• Communicate technical findings and client issues to stakeholders and respond to client inquiries

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, or molecular biology
• 6+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years experience, or PhD with 2+ years experience
• Full understanding of laboratory SOPs, ICH guidelines, USP requirements, and FDA guidance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and technical operating systems
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to train junior staff and work collaboratively

Compensation: $83,300–$90,000 base
