This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Senior Technology Designer, we'll count on you to:Evaluate, select and apply state-of-the-art low voltage technology system, techniques, procedures, design and modificationsDesign and specify low voltage technology systems including but not limited to technology systems with structured cabling, outside plant and fiber optic systemsUnderstand medical technology systems design such as nurse call, patient EETV, physiological monitoring, EMS radio and distributed antenna systemsTake responsibility for complete set of construction documentsRecognize that assignments have objectives that require investigation of many variablesIndependently perform low voltage technology/electrical engineering assignments with broad general instruction from Project Manager as to the results expectedSelect and recommend procedures, security devices and equipment, write specifications covering all low voltage technology system matters, perform reviews, and work directly with owners as a part of project teamAssist other Designers, Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed, and be responsible for work in all phases of low voltage technology design processConduct QA/QC on work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians as neededPerform other duties as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 10 years experience in low-voltage system designRCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certificationProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with MS Project, MS Visio, Autodesk, SpecsIntactAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
