Job TitleOffice Assistant 2Job DescriptionThe Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for an Office Assistant 2 for the Anvil Mountain Correctional Center (AMCC), located in Nome, Alaska. The duties include processing incoming and outgoing institutional mail, filing, processing inmate commissary, receiving money for inmate accounts, receipt and balance till daily, assume Accounting Clerk duties during their absence and assisting with inmate travel processing to include gathering necessary paperwork and submitting for payment. Other duties as assigned. AND One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs. Substitution: Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equal one month of experience).Additional Required InformationLEGAL EMPLOYMENT: The State's online recruitment system, Workplace Alaska, requires applicants to certify that they have a legal right to accept employment in the United States.
