Machine Operator

The Machine Operator supports production by operating equipment safely and efficiently, measuring materials, handling chemicals according to procedures, and maintaining quality standards throughout the etching and testing processes.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
• Must accurately use measuring instruments and record data.
• Must have vision abilities including close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to read and interpret production orders and safety, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals.
• Must have basic knowledge of math, equations, and use of measuring instruments.
• Must be able to work a full-time schedule and overtime as required.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others.

Experience:

• Experience using measurement tools such as micrometers, thickness gauges, and tape measures.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and label test strips for processing.
• Mark and label sheets for shear tests.
• Identify and mark defects.
• Calculate proper etch rates and removals per customer specifications.
• Pull and maneuver titanium sheets through the pickle tank.
• Load and unload skids with a forklift.
• Safely fill new acid tanks with chemicals per Standard Work Procedures.
• Maintain and record temperature, caustic levels, and pH levels for scrubbers and tanks.
• Safely operate the dryer.
• Maintain HR and nitric acid levels in tanks.
• Provide daily acid samples.
• Safely discharge spent acid or water from tanks.
• Measure material thickness and dimensions before and after the etching process to ensure correct removal.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and equipment.

• Equipment operation skills, including forklift operation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualification And Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
