Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit (Nights)

Schedule

This position involves working night shifts, specifically 4x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 24-bed medical surgical unit with a renal emphasis. The ideal candidate will have experience in med-surg nursing and be comfortable floating to like units as needed. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and efficient nursing care to patients in a medical surgical unit.
• Administer medications and perform treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in their condition to the healthcare team.
• Utilize isolation precautions and participate in rapid response or code team activities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
• A valid RN license in Oklahoma or compact state is required at the time of submission.
