Responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment, and food/cooking utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Summary Responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment, and food/cooking utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine. • Hold inverted glasses over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces. • Wash pots, pans, and trays. • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and cutting boards and kitchen equipment • Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers. • Steam clean or hose out garbage cans. • Sort bottles, and break disposable ones in bottle crushing machine, if applicable. • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. • Assist in set up and cleanup of banquet tables when necessary. • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
