Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (Specialist) Location: California Medical Facility (CMF), Vacaville, CA, Solano County. Position Number: JC-512149. Contact: 076-220-9287-XXX. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Psychologist serves as the clinical systems expert, providing psychological consultation related to the institution’s health‑care performance‑management programs and processes. The role advises institution executives, acts as a liaison with the Statewide Quality Officer and Quality Management Section staff, and collaborates with other institution Chief Quality Officers and stakeholder groups. Job Description and Duties

• Conducts psychological evaluations and assessments of patients within the correctional facility.
• Designs and implements individual and group treatment plans tailored to the correctional environment.
• Provides consultation to clinical staff on best practices in mental health care and safety procedures.
• Serves as a clinical systems expert, contributing to the development and improvement of health‑care delivery models.
• Participates in multidisciplinary quality‑improvement activities and collaborates with statewide quality initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology. Earned Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an institution meeting the criteria of Section 2914 of the Medical Board of California's Business and Professions Code. Either one year of experience in California state service as a Psychologist Clinical, Correctional Facility, or Staff Psychologist (any specialty) or two years of postdoctoral/post‑internship experience involving assessment, treatment, training, research, consultation, or program planning in mental‑health services. Unaffiliated candidate who is not yet licensed may be admitted into the examination and may be appointed, provided a valid license is secured within three years of appointment. Waivers for part‑time employment may be granted, but shall not exceed five years.
