Job Description Phlebotomist I – Los Angeles, CA. Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with rotational weekends. State phlebotomy license required (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). Pay range: $22.70 - $26.45 per hour. Salary offers may be influenced by skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and other factors. Eligible for annual performance bonus compensation. Administer oral solutions as trained. Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology, client contacts, and approved tools. Accurately navigate computers and enter data as required. Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens: label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, and prepare for transport as needed. Perform non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance and temperature logs). Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly. Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education: Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic). Phlebotomy certification: Preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Experience: One year phlebotomy preferred; customer service in a retail or service environment preferred; keyboard/data entry experience. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
