About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean of Academic Affairs to provide the essential leadership needed to advance the educational mission and goals of the campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the education department, including planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all educational activities. This role requires a dedicated individual who can meet or exceed retention and attendance goals, develop and maintain academic schedules, and ensure the quality of faculty and staff through recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. The Dean will also be involved in supervising various academic support services and must be prepared to work extended hours to meet the demands of the position. Applicants for the Dean of Academic Affairs position at the company must have a Master's degree in Education from an accredited institution, a minimum of 5 years' of supervisory experience in a college-level educational setting, and at least 3 years' of successful teaching experience at the college level. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in a dynamic environment, be adept at problem-solving, and demonstrate a commitment to the professional development of faculty and staff. Essential skills include the ability to lead staff meetings, support the performance appraisal process, and develop individuals through coaching and mentoring. The role also involves ensuring that the academic programs meet accreditation criteria and that faculty and staff are provided with the necessary training and development opportunities.
