Position Title:  Senior Product Designer (Payments)
Location : Considering candidates who live within 50 miles (commutable distance) to our client's Corporate Offices in Wilmington, DE; Charlotte, NE; Irving, TX; Evansville, IN
Duration: 6 with possible conversion to FTE
Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Pay Rate : $175.00 to $180.00

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

We are actively seeking a UX Professional (Architect/Designer) with Payments experience to join our client's team.

• 7+ years of experience in Product Design or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design, Content, and User Research teams.
• Proven ability to influence product and engineering decisions in cross-functional environments without direct authority.
• Experience working in Agile, Kanban, and other delivery methodologies.
• Experience writing user stories and jobs-to-be-done (JTBD), clearly defining business and user needs, as well as acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-powered tools (e.g., generative AI, research synthesis tools, and automation platforms) to improve design efficiency and generate actionable insights.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

• Design intuitive, user-centered experiences for digital products, with a focus on payments.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and Content Designers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into effective design solutions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Conduct and incorporate user research, usability testing, and customer feedback into design decisions.
• Design and optimize end-to-end payment journeys and transaction workflows.
• Advocate for UX best practices and ensure consistency with design systems and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
• Influence product strategy and engineering decisions through data-driven design recommendations.
• Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints when developing solutions.
• Iterate on designs based on user insights, analytics, stakeholder feedback, and usability findings.
• Contribute to and maintain scalable design systems, patterns, and documentation.
