(Tri-State Coverage with strong focus on NJ)

AMS Restoration Services is a fast-moving fire and water damage restoration company serving the New York tri-state area. We respond to property losses within hours — and we're looking for a licensed Public Adjuster to join our team full time and grow with us.

Compensation

• $30/hour base pay (full-time, W-2)
• 3% commission on every claim you sign
• Serious earning potential — high claim volume, year-round work

What You'll Do

• Respond to active fire losses alongside our field chasing team — you'll be on-site at fresh losses, meeting property owners, and signing claims for us in real time
• Support and assist our fire chasers in the field, converting leads into signed agreements on the spot
• Explain the claims process to property owners and represent policyholders through settlement
• Inspect and document property damage; prepare detailed loss estimates
• Negotiate with insurance carriers to maximize policyholder recoveries
• Coordinate with our office reps and field teams for rapid deployment after fire alerts
• Maintain accurate claim files and follow up through payment

What We're Looking For

• Active Public Adjuster license in New Jersey (required); New York and/or CT license a strong plus
• 2+ years of adjusting experience preferred (fire/smoke losses ideal) — strong newly licensed candidates considered
• A closer — confident, composed, and able to build trust with distressed property owners at the scene of a loss
• Comfortable working fast-paced, on-scene fire response with a field team
• Knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software a plus
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout NJ (with occasional NY/CT support)
• Available for rapid response, including evenings/weekends when losses occur

Compliance & Conflict of Interest

• All adjusting activities are conducted in full compliance with New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance regulations (and applicable NY/CT laws)
• This role requires strict adherence to all licensing, solicitation, and disclosure requirements
• The adjuster will obtain the policyholder's informed, written consent and acknowledgment of all required disclosures
• Candidates must be in good standing with all licensing authorities, with no history of license suspension, revocation, or unresolved disciplinary action
