Diagnostic Imaging Manager
San Luis Obispo, CA

We’re seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Manager to lead daily operations of a busy imaging department in San Luis Obispo, California . This role focuses on operational leadership, quality, and efficient patient flow across imaging services.

Position Summary

Oversee technical and operational functions of the Diagnostic Imaging department, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow while supporting and leading imaging staff.

Requirements

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required

• Master’s degree: Preferred

• 5+ years registered technologist experience: Preferred

• 1+ year leadership experience: Preferred

Licenses / Certifications (Required – one of the following):

• ARRT : Radiography (R), CT, MRI, or Mammography

• ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)

• NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)

Essential Functions

• Coordinate and oversee all technical operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department

• Ensure timely patient throughput, prioritizing emergent cases and reducing wait times

• Monitor and manage RIS/PACS workflow and image quality

• Support compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards

• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to optimize department performance
