Fueling & Service Driver

Position Overview As a Driver, Fueling & Service, you will deliver and support company rental equipment to job sites, as well as refuel diesel light towers. This is an entry‑level position that requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Responsibilities Work closely with departments and managers to address and repair issues with company assets/equipment. Work closely with Dispatch to determine the equipment’s order priority and accurately complete delivery/return logs. Deliver, retrieve, and move equipment (light towers, shower trailers, cooling trailers, guard shacks, generators, trash trailers, combo trailers, office trailers, porta johns, etc.). Fuel equipment on location as necessary. Follow prescribed safety procedures and comply with federal laws. Follow appropriate safety procedures when transporting or handling equipment. Communicate with the dispatcher on the status of job orders. Communicate with management and other workers via telephone or radio telephones. Promote available company services and products. Promote clean and safe working conditions. Be knowledgeable and supportive of all company policies and directives. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Effective communication, organization, and planning skills. Team player with ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with ability to multi‑task. Follow oral and written instructions and use proper judgment. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to hot and cold climates, wet and unstable grounds, highly humid, or dry areas. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; move fingers and hands, and ability to stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch. Lift and carry up to 45 lbs. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
