Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services for patients with neurological conditions, trauma, and cognitive impairments. The role involves evaluating and treating a diverse patient population, including stroke, TBI, and Parkinson's disease.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions to determine treatment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve communication and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and adjust interventions as needed.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans according to clinical standards.
• Conduct cognitive evaluations for home safety and perform swallow studies when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and safety requirements, including CPR certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Nebraska state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Possess current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Demonstrate clinical experience with neuro, trauma, and cognitive disorders.
• Exhibit strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients.
• Be adaptable to both inpatient and outpatient settings.
