Responsibilities Read and work from related blueprints and schematic drawings. Install and/or remove various instrumentation devices, including indicators, recorders, telemetry, controllers, transmitters, transducers, and analyzers used to measure variables such as pressure, flow, and temperature. Use a comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and electricity during installation. Cut, bend, and install pipe tubing or conduit for the installation of air or process lines for instrument controls using hacksaws and pipe cutters. Install instruments, instrument stands, and control wiring to valves, and stroke valves to verify operation. Install and calibrate recorders, alarms, switches, and other devices. Steam trace lines when necessary. Install flanges and orifice plates if required. Perform other duties necessary to remove, install or troubleshoot instrumentation devices. Maintain an up‑to‑date electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
