Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position requiring critical care, pre-op, and PACU experience with active MO or compact licensure.

Details

• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting within an acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke and STEMI Center designation
• Specialty focus includes critical care, pre-op, and PACU experience
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal is documented
• Minimum 1 year of recent ambulatory surgery RN experience required
• Critical care, pre-op, and PACU experience required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Involves patient and family education, including assessing educational needs and documenting learning abilities in the computerized care plan
• Responsible for developing and maintaining individualized care plans including nursing diagnoses, interventions, and outcome goals
• Performs patient handoffs using patient safety tools such as SBAR and report at bedside
• Communicates pertinent clinical findings with the multidisciplinary team and participates in physician rounds
• Participates in process improvement activities including data collection, in-services, and unit meetings
• Scrub color required: black
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
