Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team at an assisted living facility in Waterville . The cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious, delicious, and visually appealing meals for our residents in a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for serving others.


Part-time/Rotating schedule

• Meal Prep & Cooking: Prepare daily meals, themed event dishes, and special dietary/allergy-restricted options following recipes, portion guidelines, and facility menus.
  
• Safety & Sanitation: Maintain strict food safety standards, monitor cooking/storage temperatures, properly label food, and keep the kitchen and equipment clean.
  
• Inventory & Ordering: Help track stock, minimize waste, and order food supplies under the Dietary Manager's guidance.
  
• Dining & Service: Assist with dining area setup, meal service, dishwashing, and direct resident interaction.
  

• Experience: Previous cooking experience (healthcare, assisted living, or institutional setting preferred).
  
• Skills: Knowledge of food safety regulations, ability to follow recipes accurately, and comfort using standard kitchen equipment.
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items like pots and pans.
  
• Soft Skills & Education: Compassionate and patient attitude toward elderly residents; High School Diploma or equivalent (culinary certification is a plus).
