Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled, highly consultative Senior Value Engineer to anchor our Public Sector account infrastructure across Germany. In this elite, hands-on presales engineering track, you will partner directly with strategic government agencies and public institutions to solve business-critical operational bottlenecks. Acting as a core domain authority, you will demonstrate how the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph feeds essential business context to generative AI systems, enabling a fundamental shift from rigid rule-based automation to autonomous agentic workflows. From executing complex Proof-of-Value projects to leading technical hackathons and whiteboarding sessions for state executives, you will drive modern, citizen-oriented digital transformations.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Discovery & Solutioning: Audit public sector infrastructure requirements and AI roadmaps, defining a clear problem-solution fit that translates high-level challenges into secure, scalable solutions.
• Hackathons & Rapid Prototyping: Design, write, and deploy creative multi-file prototypes during customer hackathons to solve complex data engineering and automated text processing gaps.
• Agentic Process Transformation: Guide public entities away from rule-bound layouts toward autonomous multi-agent orchestration frameworks backed by clear, high-fidelity Process Intelligence structures.
• Proof-of-Value Project Execution: Deliver end-to-end cloud-based proof systems incorporating **RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)**, custom function calling parameters, and rigid evaluation guardrails.
• Cross-Functional Ecosystem Partnership: Coordinate closely with Sales directors, Product Management, and external big-tech partners to ensure solutions seamlessly integrate with enterprise identity and government compliance tracking frameworks.
• Value Realization Accountability: Maintain technical ownership across designated public sector cases until agreed deployment adoption thresholds and concrete business ROI baselines are fully achieved.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified professional history leading technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or value engineering tracks within enterprise software spaces.
• Proven background building compelling ROI/TCO business cases and rapidly prototyping generative AI or machine learning models.
• Deep conceptual understanding of modern LLM architectures, including few-shot learning, prompt engineering, multi-modal understanding, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Hands-on programming mastery utilizing Python alongside common ML and data engineering libraries (such as **pandas, LangChain, pydantic, sklearn, or PyTorch**).
• Outstanding presentation and whiteboarding mechanics, optimized to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical public sector executives.
• Language Mandate: Native-level or full professional fluency in both German and English is completely non-negotiable.
• Location Context: Fully remote-first working infrastructure flexibility restricted exclusively to qualified technical leads permanently based in Berlin, Germany .

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Possession of an active German national security clearance checkpoint license ( Sicherheitsüberprüfung up to SÜ2).
• Practical experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling LLM solutions within major hyperscaler ecosystems (such as **AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, or GCP Vertex AI**).
• Familiarity with open-source semantic orchestration tools like LlamaIndex or specialized public sector procurement methodologies.
