Custodian The Role – As a custodian, you play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for athletes and guests. Clean and maintain all bathroom and lobby areas Restock bathroom supplies and empty trash Maintain cleanliness of spectator areas Handle spills and emergency clean‑ups promptly Follow safety, sanitation and chemical handling guidelines Perform other duties as assigned by management Pay – Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, with opportunities for higher pay based on experience. Schedule – Weekend availability preferred; weekday flexibility considered. 1‑12 Hrs/Wk. Tennis Instructor The Legacy Center Sports Complex is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Tennis Instructor to lead lessons and training for youth and/or adults. This role focuses on teaching skills, fostering sportsmanship, and making tennis fun and accessible for all levels. Schedule – 1‑12 Hrs/Wk. Pay – Pay based on experience. Pickleball Instructor We’re seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Pickleball Instructor to lead fun and educational sessions for youth and/or adult players of all levels. You’ll help participants develop their skills, improve their fitness, and foster a love for the game in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Schedule – 1‑12 Hrs/Wk. Pay – Pay based on experience. Youth Recreational Coaches The Legacy Center of Michigan is looking for experienced former players and coaches to join its recreational sports coaching team! The Legacy Center currently offers recreational soccer, baseball, basketball and volleyball leagues. Many of our coaches are current or former college soccer players that have a passion for sports and coaching. Coaches must be comfortable and confident working with children ages 4‑18yrs of age, and must display a high level of sports knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality and excellent communication skills for both player, parent and internal coaching interactions. Applicants should have good customer service, time management and problem solving skills as well. Training will be provided for all coaches. Attend Legacy Center coach training course. Conduct weekly practices that follow the provided curriculum. Attend all team practices and games. Maintain knowledge of game, rules, and skills necessary for the sport. Advise team in rules, game strategies, and performance principles. Focus on the improvement of players and the team as a whole while keeping participation enjoyable. Determine the game line up and make changes as needed. Instruct and facilitate pre‑ and post‑game procedures. Communicate professionally with parents, game officials and the opposing teams. Maintain and return all Legacy Center issued equipment and keep the storage areas neat and organized. Use the program to educate players on the virtues of discipline, time management, team work, and academic success. Communicate regularly and positively with players, parents and other coaches in regards to the season, sport, and any concerns. In cooperation with the Recreational Sports Coordinator, communicate with players and parents regarding schedules and changes to the schedule. Coaches are to be liaisons between the team and Recreational Sports Coordinator. Elevate questions or concerns to the Recreational Sports Coordinator. Occasionally officiate pre‑k through 2nd grade games. Follow policies and procedures as presented in the Legacy Center staff handbook. Make sure facilities are left clean and organized after each use. Assist with end of season meeting and/re‑cap as requested. Perform player evaluations as needed. Participate in occasional promotional events. Complete all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Two (2) years coaching experience or significant college playing experience preferred. Availability to commit to the entire schedule. Knowledge of rules and skills of particular sport. Willingness to place emphasis on the Legends Rec Soccer Curriculum. Must have a reliable form of transportation. Pay – Pay based on experience. Sports Management Intern The Sport Management Intern will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing, business development, and public relations plans. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining and expanding current marketing strategies. Assist with tournaments & events. Work with specific sport departments. Learn about the general management of a sports complex. Compensation – Unpaid. Reports to – Director of Administration. Qualifications Must be pursuing a degree in Sports Management or other applicable field. Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and follow‑up skills. Solution provider. Leadership potential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Willingness to learn other software programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic Adobe Suite and SEO understanding preferred. Little Legends Program Instructor The Little Legends Program is a child development program based around Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball and Basketball. The Instructor will lead small groups of children (ages 18 months to 9 years old) through an age appropriate curriculum. Details Flexible schedule! Coaches work 2‑15 hours per week, based on your availability. Classes are typically weekday evenings/mornings and/or Saturday mornings. Training is provided. Staff discounts on Little Legends and Recreational programming at the Legacy Center. Pay $15‑20/hr. based on experience. Coach Qualifications Qualified individuals must love working with children, be highly energetic, creative, animated and patient and have a passion for providing a stimulating learning environment that is exciting and fun for kids. Must be loud, great storyteller, and able to lead a group of children in structured games. Must have a positive attitude, be organized, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have reliable transportation. Experience working with children under the age of 4 years old is highly recommended. Ability to work 100% of the classes scheduled within a season is a must. Experience in the specific sport is not required, but preferred. Facility Manager The Legacy Center Facility Manager acts as the first point of contact for the facility. They are responsible for providing an excellent customer service experience for our guests through in‑person, over the phone or electronic communication. Welcome customers to the facility. Answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information or referring inquiries. Assist customers with in‑person / online registration and collect payment. Receive and sort daily deliveries. Perform office duties including everyday errands, keep front desk organized, and adjacent areas clean throughout the week. Collaborate with Administrative Team Members and Sports Directors. Develop a working understanding of all sports programming, events, and activities on a day‑to‑day basis. Support Operations / Custodial with light tasks, as needed. Follow all facility Policies & Procedures. Requirements Must be dependable with a positive attitude and capable of performing limited physical tasks. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other various software platforms for facility management including registration, answering phones, and communication. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to be resourceful and proactive with issues that may arise. Ability to organize, multi‑task, prioritize, and work well under pressure. Team‑oriented and able to interact with multiple departments (i.e., Sports, Marketing, etc.). Willingness to take on new tasks and assignments when required. Ability to work independently, accept responsibility with limited supervision. Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Sports Intern The Legacy Center Sports Intern will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing, business development, and public relation strategies/plans. This individual will report directly to a respective Sport Director with an assist from Legacy Center Administrative Staff. Develop a working understanding of all sports programming, events, and activities on a day‑to‑day basis. Collaborate with Administrative Team Members and Sports Directors. Fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors from several departments. Performing research at a supervisor’s request. Follow all facility Policies & Procedures. Requirements Must be dependable with a positive attitude and capable of performing limited physical tasks. Strong verbal and written communications skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to be resourceful and proactive with issues that may arise. Ability to organize, multi‑task, prioritize, and work well under pressure. Ability to work independently, accept responsibility with limited supervision. Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Summer Camp Assistant Director As the Summer Camp Assistant Director, you will be the on‑site go‑to person for everything related to the Legends Summer Camp Program. This includes but is not limited to assisting in the development of weekly plans/curriculum and overseeing/facilitating the day‑to‑day operations of camp. The Summer Camp Assistant Director must be at least 25 years of age. Previous experience working in a camp setting and/or working with kids and other adult staff is preferred. Assist in the development of camp curriculum. Work with campers and supervise coaches and camp staff. Communicate daily schedule and any relevant information with camp staff. Conduct, set‑up and assist with daily camp activities including sports, crafts, games etc. Greet families and campers upon arrival and maintain daily attendance. Ensure all check‑in/check‑out processes/procedures are followed on a daily basis. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camp schedule/reminders/disciplinary issues/incidents etc. Maintain emergency guidelines and safety procedures for campers and staff. Prepare activities in advance, create an equipment/supply list of items needed. Manage any issues that may arise including camper behavior issues, parent complaints, etc. with the help of the Summer Camp Director. Ensure campers and camp staff follow safety procedures at all times. Communicate and coordinate with the Summer Camp Director as needed to provide the highest quality summer camp experience for Legends Summer Camp families. Camp Staff Schedule/Hours – Camps begin the week of 6/9 and runs through 8/28. Operations Team Member Legacy Center Operations Team Member follows a weekly task list set by the Operations Director in providing a clean, safe, and functional environment for the events and activities of the Legacy Center Sports Complex. Develop a working understanding of all sports programming, events, and activities on a day‑to‑day basis. Collaborate with Administrative Team Members and Sports Directors. Perform daily tasks including, but not limited to sports field preparation, grass cutting, and snow removal. Indoor and outdoor field setup / teardown (multi‑sport, multi‑event, etc.). Fulfill work orders, as needed. Follow all facility Policies & Procedures. Requirements Must be dependable with a positive attitude and capable of performing physical tasks. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to be resourceful and proactive with issues that may arise. Ability to organize, multi‑task, prioritize, and work well under pressure. Ability to work independently, accept responsibility with limited supervision.
