Business Instructor

Compensation Range:

$51,934.60 - $89,641.28

Position Summary:

HCC faculty are expected to contribute to the college community through committee work, on-going professional development, and collaborative curriculum development. A passion for teaching and commitment to student success are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

The position requires a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Qualifying Degree Fields : Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated instructional experience at the post-secondary level.
  
• Two to five years of professional experience in a business-related company, industry, or organization.
  
• Professional or community affiliations in business/economics related associations.
  
  
• Experience using Canvas or a similar learning management system and
  
  
• A commitment to students through exceptional teaching and learning.

A faculty screening committee will analyze the strength of your application materials. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: To complete your application, you must attach a copy of your graduate academic transcripts from an accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications. Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union

• Grade 2: Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in field $51,934.60
  
• Grade 2+: Master's Degree with 60 graduate semester hours in the field $54,594.23
  
• Grade 1: PhD in major field $57,255.05
  

Up to four salary steps may be applied to the starting salary based on experience.
