Position Overview

A leading Virginia healthcare facility is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its Respiratory Care team. This opportunity is open to experienced therapists as well as new graduates looking to launch their careers in a supportive and technology-driven environment.

The Respiratory Therapist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across emergency, acute care, critical care, and neonatal settings while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient respiratory status through examinations, airway assessments, and clinical monitoring.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance therapies.
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust invasive and non-invasive ventilation support.
• Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and disease management.
• Support neonatal and critical care patients when required.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
• Associate Degree, Vocational School Graduate, or Respiratory Therapy Certificate required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• New Graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required.
