Treatment Plant TechnicianLocated at the Greentree Landfill in our Centralized Wastewater Treatment Facility located at Southern Alleghenies Landfill, we seek a Treatment Plant Technician who will be responsible for helping to operate and maintain the facility. The facility is a biological and chemical treatment facility. The individual fulfilling this role must be flexible to work alone or with coworkers and be willing to learn and complete several tasks. A maintenance background is a plus. We are seeking an applicant to work 5-6 days per week 8 to 10 hours per shift. The facility is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation. This position will include training in both operations, maintenance and some basic laboratory work in our onsite lab. The duties herein are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by this position and are not to be construed to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills.Responsibilities include:Perform daily operational tasks to ensure efficient plant performanceConduct routine maintenance and support facility upkeepOperate and maintain solids handling and dewatering equipment, including plate and frame presses and belt pressesCollaborating with plant operators and maintenance personnel to optimize system performanceAssist with customer service activities and material trackingPrepare, mix, and monitor treatment chemicals and process inputsAdhere to and promote all company safety policies and proceduresPosition RequirementsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environmentWillingness to work 40–50 hours per week, including 8–10-hour shiftsMechanical aptitude or maintenance experience preferredPrior experience in wastewater or liquid waste treatment is advantageous but not requiredStrong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detailOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities desired include:Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and accountabilityEffective time management and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environmentThis job description is not a contract and does not affect the at-will nature of your employment relationship with Noble Environmental or any of its affiliates.
