Mid-Level Civil Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level civil litigation attorney in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and insurance defense, with the ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution. Duties Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda. Take and defend depositions. Appear in court, hearings, and mediations. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff. Requirements 4+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience. Experience handling cases from inception through resolution. Strong motion practice and deposition experience. Ability to manage a caseload independently. Experience with insurance coverage, general liability, or related practice areas preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the state bar of New York. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
