- Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, requesting necessary diagnostic tests, and developing unique care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, as permitted
- Providing education to patients and their families on prevention strategies, wellness, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatments within the scope of your practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management, ensuring thorough tracking of progress
- Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrative, patient-centered care
- Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to gain within 90 days)
- A strong clinical background complemented by an empathetic approach to patient care
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, family members, and colleagues
