Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required. License: New York state license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Charge Nurse experience required. Outpatient Chronic and Acute experience required. Description: This position involves working in a dialysis unit and requires the ability to provide high-quality patient care. Candidates should have experience as a Charge Nurse, particularly in managing a 24 chair unit. The role requires the capability to cover Acute 8 station dialysis when needed. Candidates must be proficient in chronic outpatient dialysis and the administration of blood products. Skills in cannulating AV grafts and fistulas are essential. The position includes monitoring various alarms and the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Infection control knowledge and experience managing complications such as fluid overload and hypotension are critical. The nurse will also be responsible for identifying and responding to emergency situations. Weekend shifts are required, with every other weekend and occasional call. Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to other dialysis locations as necessary.
